Kibouteki Refrain - AKB48

I know it's almost 3 weeks ago since Kibouteki Refrain -also known as "KiRin"- was released but since I just started my Blog I want to write my first review.

So first of all at the beginning I couldn't stand the song at all, but after listening to it for like forever I slowly started to like Kibouteki. After each time listening to it I was like "Well this song isn't that bad." or "Somehow this is quite catchy!" and know I like it almost as much as KFC. :D

But back to the actual Single/Song.



Kibouteki Refrain is referred to be an orthodox Idol song with 32 participating member. The chosen Centers for this song are AKB48's Watanabe Mayu and HKT48's Miyawaki Sakura -both part of the orthodox Idol genre. To be honest I was actually quite surprised that Sakura was selected to be Center since she isn't as experienced as members like Matsui Rena or Shimazaki Haruka (which also belong to the orthodox genre, at least that's my opinion). Furthermore I really liked seeing (now) SKE48's Miyazawa Sae back in action (more like back in Senbatsu). I really like Sae's singing voice and she is also a pretty good dancer -although Kibouteki's Choreography isn't that hard.

We also get to see a known faces back in the lines. Yes, Annin, AKB48's Iriyama Anna is finally back.

However it wasn't that big of a surprise that Nogizaka46's Ikoma Rina was chosen for Senbatsu since she just recently got a Kennin Position (Concurrent Position) in AKB's Team B.

In addition to all that we also have a few new faces, new member who entered Senbatsu
It's the first AKB48 Senbatsu of Team K's Tano Yuka, Team K's Muto Tomu, Team B's Oshima Ryoka, Team B's Kawamoto Saya, Team 4's Mukaichi Mion, Team8's Nakano Ikumi, NMB's Shiroma Miru, HKT's Moriyasu Madoka.

"Kibouteki Refrain" is a very idol-like song with a really cheerful and happy atmosphere. Also the catchy chorus really helps to promote this feeling.

I mean who doesn't like listen to the member singing 8 times per Chorus " I love you too much". I definitely not.

But now back to the funny Part.

I really don't like the fact that the Costumes of Media an normal Senbatsu

are that different.

So that was the PV of AKB48's 38th single.

*** Attention Personal Opinion ***

As you maybe already realized the PV is said to explain that the Centers are always chased by Wotas.

And as you also may realized the guys in the black hoodies and white mask should symbolize Wotas or the Fans of AKB48. I really liked how they put in this conflict between Members or Centers and the fans. Let's be true if your Oshimen isn't the Center for the next Single you probably will be angry about Aki-P for choosing those Centers. Also the fact that they symbolize being Center or becoming Center by passing along golden microphones which shows that the Centers are special and that not everyone can be center (limited edition of microphones).

As I already mentioned I really like the Costumes (Media Senbatsu Costume) although I really don't like the fact that Media and Normal Senbatsu do  have other Costumes. okay they are pretty much similiar, but still it kinda feels like they would downgrade the normal Senbatsu member.

However all in all I really like the PV. It really explains how extrem (?) the struggle every Center has to burden is.
